This is the first book I read in 2011. I enjoyed The Zeroes: My Misadventures in the Decade That Went Insane by Randall Lane.
Our economic meltdown has generated a number of really great reads and this book is near the top of my list. It reads like a novel but it's the true tale of a publisher whose magazine catered to the rich and powerful on Wall Street. Lane covers the great times from 2000-2007 and the big meltdown from 2008 to now.
Lane shares anecdotes of his experiences with celebrities including John Travolta, Donald Trump, and John McCain. However his best stories involve his business dealings with painter, Peter Max and former baseball player, Lenny Dykstra.
I could not put my Kindle down...
